Show I f HE CITIZEN '.3 Revue De La Ville wedding of Miss Irene Mc-eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. McDonald, to E. W. Christensen took place Thursday morning in the Salt Lake temple. The handsome McDonald home on Fourth East street was a bower of June flowers for the reception in the Masses of pink roses evening. and delicate feathery ferns decorated the spacious drawing room. The bridal party stood in an alcove with a rose background of pink Dorothy Perkins roses and floor baskets of the same June blossoms, and the mantel vas banked with the pink roses and maidenhair ferns. The bride wore an exquisite wedding gown of ivory white Duchess satin with silver lace. From her shoulders fell a full court train with true lovers knots of lilies of the valley and she was enveloped in a filmy wedding veil, which was caught about her coiffure with a chaplet of orange blossoms. The costume was completed with a shower of brides roses and white butterfly sweet peas, tied wtih brides maline and showers of white satin ribbons. THE . Mrs. Leroy Perry, matron of honor, wore a handsome frock of shell pink satin, with a cream lace hat with pink rosebuds, and carried a leghorn hat filled with an artistic combination of golden-scenteShasta daisies, deep ing of the dining room to the chandelier were broall pink satin ribbons, and in the center of the table was a large enamelen basket filled with pink Dorothy Ijerkins roses, and tied with a butterfly bow of pink maline. The broad lawns were . festooned with strings of Japanese lanterns. Punch was served to hundreds in one corner of the lawn from a pretty white and green booth by Miss Lucile McDonald, Miss Lillie McDonald, Miss Marcella Rogers and Miss Dorothy Chamberlain. The Evans orchestra was stationed on the veranda behind a screen of palms and ferns, interspersed with large pots of pink ge. raniums. Mr. and Mrs. Christensen will spend J their honeymoon in Yellowstone park, and will be at home in Salt Lake after August 1. Loops of pale pink maline formed the handles of the basket hat, and from the crown hung showers of chiffon in rainbow tints. Miss Florence McDonald was the maid of honor. She was dressed in an elaborate frock of shimmering azure blue satin with silver beads and carried an armful of pink Killamey roses, with showers of pink satin ribbons. Miss Edna Kay, the first bridesmaid, wore a dainty frock of golden yellow chiffon with gold lace, and carried orchid and pale pink sweet peas, tied wtih loops of lavender ma-- . line. Miss Amelia- Margetts, another bridesmaid, was attired in a charm satin and ing gown of apricot-colore- d - tulle, and carried a shower of leva?, yjder sweet peas and tulle. The two flower girls, Miriam Solomon and Pearl Morrison, wore dainty frocks of white tulle and carried shepherds crooks ,to which were tied large rosettes of rosy pink satin ri' bon. From the handles of the crooks were suspended graceful little baskets of Cecil Brunner roses. Melvin Christensen, a brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The bridal party stood under a canopy of smilax and white flowers. On either side were tall baskets of Shasta daisies. Ferns were banked behind, Dorothy Perkins roses were used in the music room. A color scheme of yellow and a white was used in the dining-room- , basket of coreopsis and gypsophila forming the centerpiece for the table. In the receiving line were Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Lucas, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bassett, Sr., Miss Grace Tempest, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tempest, and Mr. and Mrs. R. Brenton Tempest. Miss Alice Purefoy and Miss Lucille Farnsworth were in the dining room. During the evening Mrs. Seymour L. Billings, Jr., Mrs. Frederick Taylor, Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Mrs. La Vere Martineau poured. Among those who assited In serving were Miss Jeanette Groo, Miss Dorothy Farnsworth, Miss Helen Skofield, Miss Vera Duvall, Miss Catherine Bassett, Miss Cordelia Straup, Miss Martha Wells, Miss Mary Alice Moon, Miss Paulina Brandon and Miss Ruth Lucas. The charming bride wore a gown of embroidered georgette crepe, and her veil was caught with pearls and orange blossoms, She carried brides roses, with a shower of sweet peas. Miss Helen White attended the bride as maid of honor. Her dress was of forming a bower. pink organdie. The bridesmaids wore dresses of organdie in rainbow shades. Miss Harriet Moyle wore blue, Miss Elizabeth Moyle yellow, Miss Eva Kass green and Miss Florence lavender. Each attendant carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas which blended with the shade of her dress. Lieutenant Ralph Bassett, brother of the bridegroom, was best Alice Ridges was bridesmaid. White took place in the Salt Lake temple Wednesday, and was followed by a reception at the home of the brides sister, Mrs. F. W. Ball, on South Eighth East street. The house was adorned with flowers and vines. A bower was arranged in the library for the bridal party. A cluny doth was the cover for the table, and a basket of Cecil Brunner roses was the centerpiece. The brides mother, Mrs. Isabelle Morleytfas assisted in receiving by Mrs. Clara White and Mrs. Thomas Pardoe of Ogden. Mrs. F. W. Ball and Mrs. Byron Child were in charge in the dining-rooand were assisted by Miss Emma Castleton, Miss Vera Schoenfeld, Miss Ethel Bull and Miss Dorothy Bull. White duchess satin was combined with silver lace for the brides dress, and her veil was caught with pearl beads. Miss Arvilla Morley, maid of honor, wore a dress of yellow georgette with tulle and carried pink sweet peas. Miss Mildred Pardoe of Ogden was bridesmaid, wearing a dress of pink taqeta, trimmed with silver lace. Byron White was best THE Ruth Wilson Halsett.to Jack Doherty Wednesday evening, Mrs. E. A. Wilson entertained at a reception at her home on D street. The wedding was performed at 7 oclock by Bishop Clarence Neslen. The rooms were decorated with roses in shades of pink and red. Mrs. Wilson was assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. J. Thomas. The couple will be at home after July 15 at the Oxford C. apartments. Norma Felt and MISS were married Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple, and a reception was given in their honor in the evening at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Felt, on South First West street. The house was decorated with pink and white roses and sweet peas. The bride wore a gown of white georgette and carried white roses. Miss Pearl Williams, the net bridesmaid, wore cream-coloreand carried pink sweet peas. Don Hunter was best man. Ridges on West Third North street, in honor of their daughter, Erma, whose marriage to Ernest Blackmore took place Wednesday morning in the Salt Lake temple. The reecption rooms were decorated with pink roses and Shasta daisies. The tea table was covered with a cluny cloth over pink and the center-piec- e was a crystal basket of pink sweet peas and white marguerites. A bow of pink maline was on the handle of the basket. Mr. and Mrs. Blackmore were assisted in receiving by Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Morrison, Mrs. F. H. Beesley and Adelbert Beesley. Miss Ruth Archer, M,iss Genevieve Selander, Miss Lucille Beesley and Miss Florence Barlow were assisting in the dining-room- . The brides dress was of georgette over white satin, and she carried a bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. She wore a pearl necklace, the gift of the bridegroom.
