Edith Archibald returned to her home Saturday from a two month vacation visiting with her daughter, Gwen Wilson in Florida, and with her son, Vernon and his wife, Karen and their two daughters, in Tennessee. Friday morning Cleon and Dawnetta Griffin attended the Ogden Temple and witnessed the marriage of La-VGriffin and Shelly Wilson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson of Eden and the groom is the son of Marilyn and Ellis Griffin of Ogden. Among others attending the reception that evening were Connie Thompson; Carolyn and Ferris Thompson and JoeAnn and Mervin Thomp- l J"- ar son. Marilyn is active in the LDS Church and has recently Itocn released from Primary after serving for 20 years. She is alsoa Relief Society teacher. She is the daughter of Irela May of Ogden and the late Stanley May. Her husband, Dean, is a former and they are the proud parents bf four children, Stanley Of Logan, Randy, Uisa and Ijori at home. ALPHABET MACARONI SALAD 1 pkg. macaroni (salad) I cup chopped celery - cup chopped onion 2 can large shrimp small can shrimp hard boiled eggs, diced . , s tup mayonnaise cup Miracle Whip salad dressings vinegar teaspoon prepared mustard Add a little canned milk. Mix all ingredients together. Mix: 1 can evaporated milk, chilled and whipped stiff I teaspoon vanilla l package cream cheese I package cream cheese (let stand at room teniitcralure) 1K cups sugar Cream sugar, cheese and whipped milk and blend into jello mixture. Line pan with mixture of 4 cups graham cracker crumbs mixed with Vi cup melted butter and 4 tablespoons powdered sugar. Put some of mixture in bottom of pan, add cheese mixture and then sprinkle rest of graham cracker mixture over top. Chill in 2 refrigerator overnight CRANBERRY SALAD pound cranlierfies, ground apples, grated 2 oranges, cut in small pieces 1 stick celery, chopped 1 : cups sugar Add above together and let stand Vi hour. 2 packages cherry jello 1 teaspoon grated orange peeling 3 cups boiling water Dissolve jello in 3 cups water. When cold add to other of jello in pan, set in ingredients. Pour one-harefrigerator until it sets up. Make a filling: 13 ounce creamed cheese 1 enp powdered sugar cup mayonnaise 2 cup rhificd nuts 1 cup wlripped cream Whip cream first and add creamed cheese and the nl !ht ingredients. Add juice of 1 frozen orange juice. Add: 1 can mandarin oranges 1 small can crushed pineapple iKinanns 3 lemon. Whip in 1 can (sliced) Refrigerate. The infant daughter of Bonnie and Dwight Pearce was blessed on Sunday and given the name of Reagan Pearce by her father. He was assisted by her grandfather, Charles Pearce, greatgrandfathers, Paul M. Clark and Rufus Benton, her uncles and the ward bishopric. Following church and Charles Pearce entertained at their home. Dinner guests on Sunday at the home of Faye and Verl Godfrey were his sister and her husband, Elsie and Wendell Welling of Fielding. Bobby Udy and Merlyn Kent and daughter, Becky, I 86th birthday anniversary at the home of her daughter, Norma South, in Malad. She has been living with her daughter for the past two months. Prior to that she was in the Malad Saturday Nursing Home. Attending the birthday party were Tellma and Willis Thompson. Willis and Tellma Thomp- -' son visited Sunday in Bountiful at the home of their son and family, LaThair Thompson. Willis helped Mess their new granddaughter who was given the name of Joann. She is the daughter of Lalhair and Georgeann Thompson. Darlene Benson Nominated For La-Rai- beth Gancheff, Trenton; Thompson, former resident of Clarkston, celebrated her of Fielding, were Tuesday guests at the home of their parents and grandparents, Margaret and Sid Godfrey. Larry Barson, son of Margaret and Aaron Barson left on Thursday for San Francisco, Calif. He will be a guest at the home of Irene Bonert. Margaret and Sid Godfrey received word on Friday of the arrival of a new born in the to Merlyn hospital Logan and Rick Kent of Fielding. She weighed eight pounds and was 19V4 inches long. Waiting at home to welcome her was her sister, Becky, who is almost three years old. Mrs. David (Annie) Office Darlene Benson has been nominated as a candidate for the office of vice president of the Utah Young Homemakers Association which is a state-wid- e organization of homemakers with educational, civic and social pro- grams. Darlene was born in Circleville, Utah. She attended Panguitch Elementary and Milford High School. She married Garth Benson and moved to Newton'where they have made their home. Garth and Darlene have three children; and she is an efficient and creative homemaker. Her hobbies are music and writing. She plays the guitar and sings. She has made a television appearance on Talent Showcase with her ringing talent. Darlene worked part-tim- e for 19 years as a newspaper distributor which gave her lots of experience working with people. Darlene also works on the family form and is in charge of the irrigation while her husband is at work on the railroad.
