Valene and her husband, Larry, are the Reunion parents of three children, Bryon, Camille and Crystal. Larry works at the Defense Depot, Ogden. Valene is the daughter of Mrs. Nedra Nelson, Preston, Idaho, and she attended Preston High School. At the present time she is teaching the Merrie Miss class in Primary. The following recipes are the family favorites: Pearl and Earl Gordon, Smithfield, and daughter and Janet and son-in-la- w DeVere Adams and children Jana Dee and Douglas of Fielding drove to Draper, Utah, for the Gordon family reunion at Draper Park. Breakfast was served at 8:30 a.m. to 10 in which the Gordons made in time and enjoyed the meal. Chicken dinner was served at noon along with salads, corn on the cob and cake to 2 p.m. Games were played and prizes given. A gift was presented to the oldest one TANTAUZER BEEF SHORT RIBS to 4 lbs. beef short ribs can tomato sauce V cup prepared mustard V cup light molasses 1 medium onion, chopped 1 teaspoon salt Vt teaspoon ground cloves 4 cup water 2 tablespoons flour hot cooked noodles 3 1 Brown ribs in a large heavy pan or dutch oven. Cover tightly and cook slowly 1 hour. Pour off drippings. Combine tomato sauce, molasses, mustard, onion, salt, cloves and Vt cup water. Mix well and pour over ribs. .Cover tightly and cook slowly for 1 hour or until tender. Pour off cooking liquid. Add enough water to cooking liquid to make 2 cups. Blend flour with V4 cup cold water. Add flour mixture to cooking liquid and cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Serve ribs on noodles and pour sauce over all. Yield 6 to 8 servings. there. Sam Gordon is president. Margaret and Ira Jardine and daughters, Jann and Nancy have returned home after spending a week visiting with their daughter Judy and Dennis Clark and family in Boise, Idaho. They also spent a day in Idaho City at parents, Bessie and Brigham Griffin. Valene and Larry Apgood entertained on Saturday in honor of their son, Bryan who was celebrating his seventh birthday anniversary. The day started out with the Apgood family and guests going up in the hills west of town, in a truck and then hiked two miles to the posse grounds where they all enjoyed a cookout dinner. Guests besides the guest of honor were Randy Thompson, Jimmy Hess, Terryl Goodey, Jamie Gark, and David Young. Visiting during the week at various times at the home of Inez and Harold Godfrey have been members of their family. They are their sons, eight children of Simi, Calif. ; Delece and Darlene Godfrey and family, Weston, Idaho; their daughter, Nedra Nelson and family, Preston, Idaho; and grandchildren, Marilyn and Robert Godfrey and son, Robert Jr., Logan; GodMarylynn and Ronald frey, Oxford, Idaho; Nicol&a and Geraldine Crookston and daughter, Tammy, Weston, Idaho, and Gordon Godfrey of Logan. Gladys and George Loosle spent Thursday and Friday in Salt Lake City at the home of their son, Gaylen and Carla Loosle and family. They also attended the play Saturday Warriors," with Gaylen and Carla, and Brenda and Ron Jacques of Provo. Linda and Jeffrey Hancey announce the arrival of a daughter, July 29, at the Logan hospital. The Hanceys live at 10 North 5th East, Hyde Park. RASPBERRY JELLO SALAD large packages raspberry jello packages frozen raspberries 1 cup chopped nuts whipping cream Set jello, chill until partially set. Add thawed raspberries and nuts. Chill and serve with whipped cream. FROZEN CHOCOLATE PUDDING ICE CREAM DESSERT double graham crackers, mashed cube melted butter 3 tablespoons brown sugar Mix together above ingredients. Let V4 gallon ice cream (butter brickie or vanilla) melt enough to soften. Make up 1 large package chocolate instant pudding. Add cup sugar and 2 egg whites. Put ice cream over 4 of the cracker crumbs and then put pudding over ice cream. Top with other half of crumbs. Add eggs and butter and beat again. Then add enough flour gradually until dough is almost too stiff to beat. Beat until smooth and well mixed. Dough will be sticky. Cover and keep in warm place until double in bulk, about 1 hour. Mold down and make into rolls, using quite a lot of butter in pan. Let raise again and bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes about 60 rolls. 2 2 Next year each family will hold their own reunion. The Gordons will be attending the Foster Gordon reunion with Beth Gordon Lawrence, Ogden, as president. There will also be a trio by the Heninger sisters, Kathy Lou, Deane and Allison. There will be not only vocal selections but also selections on the guitar and piano by the Heninger girls. Bingo games are still played. Next one will be August 19 at 2:00 p.m. and some nice prizes have been won. The Senior Citizen Center has need of some quilting frames.
