Elaine is the wife of Terry Nivison of Richmond, Utah. They have two children, Brenda, age 14, and Howard, 19. Howard is married to the former Kim Peart of Lewiston. They have one son, Jeremy, age 19 months. Terry is working at Utah State University. Prior to that Terry and Elaine were mink ranchers. Elaine and Terry were married 20 years ago in Salt Lake City. Elaines favorite activities include sewing, bowling, bridge playing, cooking, music, and camping. The entire family are ski enthusiasts. Elaine is the postmaster in Richmond Post Office. Elaine enjoys preparing Mexican dishes, but her favorite dish is Pennsylvania Hot Pot. VEGETABLE DIP 1 carton cottage cheese, blended. Mrs. Tacy Toolson Cham- bers was honored cm her 80th birthday by her children. Mrs. Chambers was born in Smithfield in 1895, to Lorenzo and Alice Harper Toolson. She married George Chambers in the Logan LDS Temple in 1914 and they built a home at 135 South 1st West. Her husband died in June 1972. An active member of the LDS Church, Mrs. Chambers has served as president of the Smithfield Second Ward Relief Society, worked in the YWMIA and Primary. For 20 years she was an officiator in the Logan LDS Temple. Rodney Thompson A testimonial for Elder Rodney Thompson was given Sunday evening in the Smith-fiel- d Seventh LDS Ward. He will be going on an LDS Mission to the Burmingham England Mission. He is the son of Norma and Joe Thompson. Kenny Thompson, a brother, spoke. Also, Dave Amussen, a friend, gave a few remarks. Elder Rodney Thompson then spoke. A trio, Sue Amussen, Rochelle Vmussen and DeAnn Amussen sang. Rodney's former bishop, Lynn B. Nelson, of the Fifth Ward spoke. He was followed by a talk from Bishop Duaine Barker of the Seventh Ward. An open house followed at the home of Elder Thompson's parents for all friends Salvering, ate at an inn that served good and all you could eat of split pea soup. Pinochle Club Richmond's Pinochle Gub be meeting the first Tuesday in May at Geone Halversons house. will Chambers has of the Famous Preston Night Roeo this year will be eligible for competition in either the Idaho or Utah Miss Rodeo contests. Alvin Beckstead, chairman, announced that the granddaddy of area rodeos has joined the International Rodeo Management association which will make the queen automatically eligible for the Utah and Idaho titles and possibly the Miss Rodeo America crown. , The contest will be held a month earlier than usual this year June 14 at 8:30 p.m. at the Preston Rodeo Arena. Mr. Beckstead also announced that Miss Rodeo America Connie Lucia of Ogden will be in attendance for the 40th annual Preston rodeo. Miss Lucia will appear in parades each evening of the rodeo and will have a special entry introduction at rodeo performances each night. She was crowned at the National Finals Rodeo last winter in Oklahoma Gty. Contestants for Preston Rodeo queen must be between the ages' of 16 and 25 and will be judged on 75 per cent horsemanship and 25 per cent horse. There will be no stallions permitted and girls must have not been queen of the rodeo before. They should be signed up by 6 p.m. June 13.
