As part of the United Stated Bicentennial celebration. the Smithsonian Institution is preparing an inventory of all American paintings executed before 1914. The Boise Gallery of Art is presently assisting in this project by conducting a survey of all such paintings in Idaho. They would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have a painting or collection of paintings that would qualify for this inventory. If anyone has any original oil paintings, watercolors. or pastels that are believed to be over 60 years old. and would like them included in the survey, please write to Judy Walters at The Boise Gallery of Art.
