Show THURSDAY, w 4-- H $$ NEWS Wheeler entertained Sunday with a birthday dinner in honor of Florence and her twin brother, Lawrence Hansen of Hyrum. Others who enjoyed the cookout meal were Mrs. Lawrence Han- sen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Koland Hansen, Mrs. Afton Aller and their families, all of Smithfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Ilyinas and son Travis of Hyde Park and Marsha, Cindy and Regan Wheeler. Kelly and Marilee Spackman recently enjoyed five days at Acapulco. Mex., where they attended a convention of the American Oil Company. They were among 90 people who were on a chartered flight. They enjoyed tours, socials and sunning on the beach to fill in the spare time. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Stoddard and two daughters of Colorado Springs, Colo., visited her mother, Mrs. VaLeria Hyer, for six days before going to Salt Lake City to attend June conference. The girls will learn how to add sleeves and collars to dresses this year while following more intricate dress patterns. This week club members will get a lesson in fabrics at Bernina Sewing Center before choosing their patterns and materials. Officers of the club are Cheri Andrus, president; Sandy Riebeek, vice president; Wendy Bair, secretary; Linda Bair, treasurer; and Marie Smith, reporter. Osmond and Elthura Merrill were visited Saturday and Sunday by their son. Dr. Monty Merrill of Seattle, Wash., and his two daughters, Christie and Mary Ann. He was here to pickup his daughters who have been attending Brigham Young University this past school year and to attend June conference. The Godfreys, Reed, Anna and their daughter, Susan, are back from their trip to California. They spent part of their trip in the Anaheim-Lo- s Angeles area, visiting Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and Marine World. They also visited the new Lion Country Safari near Anaheim where wild animals can be seen in their natural habitat. The Godfreys were required to keep the doors and windows closed on their camper as the lions and other animals are right along side the vehicle. Reed spent one day deep sea fishing at San Diego and caught a salmon. After leaving this area they journeyed towards San Francisco, bathing and beach combing at the ocean in Santa Cruz. They passed over the Golden Gate Bridge and visited the redwood forest near Eureka and returned home through Reno and Elko, Nev. Their friends. Melanies parents are Mr. and Mrs. Willis G. Sharp. A small, informal reception followed for the immediate family members and a few close friends. The couple honeymooned at Jackson Hole and Yellowstone Park. June 19, Mrs. Pearl Hawkins and her daughter, Mrs. Jean Scamons, were hostesses at a trousseau tea honoring Melanie Sharp.
