He was the owner and mentor of Clares Service station and Inn south of Preston. A native of Preston, he attended Preston schools and aduated from the Preston school. He married Avilda Thomas on Oct 31, 1931, in Logan and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan IDS Temple. He lived several in McCammon,Idaho, jrears returning to Preston to live. Survivors include Ms widow, Preston; two daughters, Mrs. Myrna Jensen ana Mrs. Bfflggs Lower, both of Salt i City; his mother, Preston; a brother and three listers: Ray Merrill and Mrs. Veda Hobbs, both of Preston; Mrs. Myrtle Jorgensen, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Thelma Nye, Logan. Officiating at the funeral service was Bishop LeGrand Burton. Prayer at the mortuary was given by Noel Stoddard. Speakers included Leo Hansen, Dr. L. V. Merrill and Bishop Burton.
