Show THURSDAY, ..v Presents Program Jeniene Adamson Some 108 Senior Citizens enjoyed the Friday afternoon program at the Senior Citizens Center. Program chairman had Mrs. Thalia Spackman and her group of 18 ladies give the program of music and readings. On Friday, May 2, a bus load of Senior Citizens of Salt Lake City will be giving the program. Everyone is invited. Transportation will be provided by calling in advance the Citizens Center, The center is now open on a daily basis, opening at 10:00 a.m. for games such as shuffle board and pool, watching television, visiting Model Mother With Mother's Day just around the corner, something popped into my mind the other day that might just answer all of the average homemakers problems. The words, model mother," brings to mind a tidy woman in an immaculate kitchen stirring a bubbling goody. A model mother" sings while she works, preferably hymns, and never slaps a youngster's hand who dabbles in the batter. A model mother is always there to listen, advise, counsel her children with wisdom and patience. A model mother" never complains to her husband about her miserable day because being a model mother, she never has any of those days. Able to control her emotions and those of her loved (Hies, the model mother smiles or laughs her way through all matters. Well, Ive now described what all homemakers would like, in a small way, to resemble. Now, I will tell what I think describes the model mother." First, she will be blessed by eight arms and sixteen . hands. Then when she needs a helping hand and doesnt feel like arguing with kids or hubby, she could just flip an extra hand out of her pocket. d Of course, she would need a apron in order to store her arms. Second, this model mother would be able to turn on. By turning a switch she could speed up and accomplish twice as many projects in less time. She also would have a watch with a double standard time face. Instead of two hands it would have four hands, thus enabling the busy homemaker to have a forty-eighour day instead of a mere twenty-fou- r. Last, but not least, this model woman" would be blessed with two sets of eyes. One set up front the other in back. This woman would be able to not only see where she's going but she can see where she's been. Think of it, ladies, you could take your children shopping and not have to worry about what your child is doing. Youd know. multi-pockete- j 752-945- 6. or bingo. The mini-bu- s may be used for ones desires whether it be for going to the temple, shopping, the doctor visit, or the center. Please contact the center in advance at 752-945- Don't forget Senior Citizens day in Salt Lake City, May 1. There will be a morning session at the Salt Palace with speakers and a light lunch. The afternoon session will be held at Trolly Square with a special program for Senior Citizens. It is encouraged for all to attend this fun filled day. FOOTNOTE: Of course, this woman would be designed for greater mobility and versatility, not necessarily looks. Of course, with another set of eyes, the beauty salon bills would be greatly reduced.
