Citizen Photo . t Two new clothing stores in Smithfield opened their ' doors to patrons this week. The Royal Clothing Store, located by Jack and Leigh's market, is owned by Quinn and Edna Plowman. The new shop houses a full line of men's clothing along with womens and children's apparell. The Royal Clothing Store will be open from 9 to 6, six days a week. A large selec tion ui name brands includ- ing Lee, Jerell, Melissa Lane. Wrangler, and Pykete adorn the hangers. A variety of house dresses, lingerie, belts and accessories also are on display. The Plowmans plan a grand opehing to take place the week before Mothers Day. The Apple Tree, located east of the Smithfield Post Office and previously known as Chris, will stage their in conjunction with the Health Days festivities, M&y 9 and 10. New owners of the shop are Tamara and Clair Selley and Tamaras mother and father. Ruby and Harold Pond. The new boutique will be opening its doors from 10 to 6, six days a week. Jewelry, long dresses, sports wear and gift items enhance the intimate interior of the shop. grand opening OBITUARIES Funeral services were con- ducted Monday in the Lewiston Second Ward LDS chapel for Lewis Rigby, 82. Mr. Rigby died in the Logan hospital Thursday. He was born Aug. 26, 1892. in Lewiston, a son of William Edward and Mandania Parks Rigby. He manied Florence Phoebe Follett . March 22, 1916 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died April 8, 1973. Mr. Rigby was a High in the Lewiston Second Ward and was active in YMMIA. He was especially interested in drama. He served an LDS Church mission from 1912 to 1914 in the South Sea Islands. . He had been watermaster for the Southwest Lewiston area and was chairman of the old folks committee for many years. More recently he had been chairman of the Special Interest group in the .ward. Mr. Rigby owned and operated a farm in Lewiston. Surviving are a son, Val Edward Rigby, Lewiston; four grandchildren; three two brothers and three sisters, Ira L. Rigby, Lewiston; William E. Rigby, Salt (Lake City; Mrs. Myron (Eola) Frederick, Providence; Mrs. Priest n; James (Dana) Shelby, Compton, Calif.; and Mrs. Orland (May) Fackrell, Clearfield. Burial took place in the Lewiston cemetery. man Wheeler, Ogden; James CLARKSTON Mary Dorothy Rasmussen, 84. died Sunday at a Mendon nursing home. She was born April 26, 1890. in Clarkston, a daughter of Lars and Hansine W. Clemensen Rasmussen. City, - She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Clarkston Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Clarkston Cemetery. Julia Merrill Julia Irene Wheeler rill, 85, died ut Sunshine Terrace Monday. She was born March 2, 1890. in Fielding, a daughter of Joseph and Euercd Orilla Love Wheeler, She married Andrew C. Nelson; they were divorced. She then married Virgil Taylor Merrill Feb. 19, 1912, in Malad, Idaho. The wedding later was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Merrill was a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are three sons and two daughters: Leo A. Harrison, 28, of Logan, in the Third Ward Chapel with J. Wesley Christensen officiating. Mr. Harrison died at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City Thursday.
