Mary and Fred Terry of Wacahachie, Texas drove to Smithfield to visit their daughter and Sammie and Bill Armstrong and Greg and Trade, grandson-in-la- children. They spent eight fruitful days sightseeing with the Armstrongs. Having seen Bear Lake, Tony Grove, did trout fishing, held a fish fry, visited a cousin of Mr. Terrys, in Salt Lake City, saw Trolley Square, Copper Mines, toured all of Salt Lake City, visited Temple Square, enjoyed Great Salt Lake, really filled to capacity the two days they were in the Salt Lake area. They stayed at the Great Salt Lake Motel. Mrs. Terry said she, loved Utah. Hurry back, folks, we like you. Marilyn and Kenneth Lent visited their aunt and uncle last weekend. They are Mary and Cyril Ledingham, Smithfield. Visit Montana .Ruth and Douglas Gregory spent a month in Montana participating and entering their thoroughbred horses in race meets in Great Falls and Billings at the State Fair. Paul Gregory, a grandson accompanied them. Earlene Gordon Hedrick daughter of Pearl and Earl Gordon of Smithfield flew to Reno, Nevada to attend the Avon convention last week. She was gone three days. Erlene is manager for Avon of Cache Valley and Box Elder County. A daughter for the Kathleen and John Neal family of 170 So. Main in Smithfield arrived August 19, at the Logan LDS Hospital. She weighed eight pounds eight ounces and was 21 inches long. She has a brother, Brian, 4. Also grandparents Norma and Derrald Watkins of Walla Walla, Wn., and Barbara Neal of Meredith, New . Hampshire... The new baby is to be named Meredith Neal and daddy is office manager for Professional Managements Associates in Logan. Boating Party ..The Benson Marina was the place of excitement all day Saturday for Pearl and Earl Gordon of Smithfield; Janet and Devere Adams of Fielding also Jana Dee and Douglas; Erlene and Wil Hedrick and Teresa, Gordon and Kirk of Terry, Randy McMurdie, Logan; Ed Manning, Logan; a close friend, Mike Johnson; and Kaylene and Dale Grenligh; and Donnie and Gary Lee. Boat riding (their being two boats) and water skiing was enjoyed. A ham dinner and the trimmings plus watermelon was enjoyed under the shelter. Baby Hoyt made her appearance August 21, at the Logan LDS Hospital to Lorraine and Joel Hoyt. She weighed six pounds three ounces and was nineteen inches long. A brother, Shane, 27 months, awaited her at home. Grandparents greeting the newcomer were Edith and Floyd Hoyt of Kamas and Lucille and William Wood of Ogden. Her daddy goes to school at Utah State University and is a truck driver for Dale Peterson. Attend Reunion .Verla and Edwin Noble attended the Jacob Schenk reunion at Mack Park in Smithfield Sunday afternoon. A meeting was held and and Roy Houston of Chloe Heber City were chosen to be in charge for next year. Reports were made on new babies, grandparents, and missionaries. , Games were played and a program was presented of songs, poems and dances. Some reminiscing was done and guitars were played. Mrs. Verla Noble was in charge and she decorated tables using roses her husband. Edwin, had raised. Mr. Hamlin is retired from the Civil Service of the U.S. Air Force. They are parents of five children, Craig Hamlin in Guam in the Air Force; Holly Hamlin in Evanston, Wyo., working for an insurance agency; Vickie also in Evanston and is employed at Coronets; Virgina Hamlin who lives in Dayton, Ohio; and Patricia Hamlin, Day-to- JPixs n, Ohio. Mrs. Hamlin was born in Avon, Utah and Mr. Hamlin in Dayton, Ohio. So the west is not new to her but Mr. Hamlin is getting to love it. He has two Appalousa riding horses a year old each and a dog, Vizsla, a Hungarian hunter. He sounds West-welc- ome neighbors. A birthday party was held for Sam Holt of Trenton at the home of his son and daughter-in-laGloria and Ralph Holt and family in Smithfield, Thursday.
