Lisn Itivrr NORTHERN' UTAH Lyon Funeral services for Edna Caroline Berrett Lyon, 79, were held Tuesday noon in Hall Mortuary Chapel under the direction of W. Loyal Hall. Mrs. Lyon died Friday night of infirmities incident to age. She was born June 1, 1895, in North Ogden, a daughter of Richard B. and Annie Toone Berrett. She was married to George Albert Lyon Sept. 29, 1920, in the Salt lake LDS Temple. He died may In her earlier life, Mrs. traveled widely with her husband on his assignments as an engineer and architect. She was an organist in the LDS Church auxiliaries for many years, and had been active in the Relief Society. For the past 35 years she had been a resident of Logan. Prior to that she had lived in Phoenix. Surviving are sons and daughters: Sterling R. Lyon,' Ogden; Roland George, Huntington Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Anna Beth Rash, Smithfield; Mrs. Myra Perks, Las Vegas, Nevada; Mrs. Maxine E. Jones, Bountiful; Mrs. Kathleen Johnson, Spring-vill- e and Gary Fred, Mesa, Ariz.; 26 grandchildren; 14 and one brother, Earl Ray Berrett, Bountiful. Friends and relatives called 10:30 a.m. until time of services at Hall Mortuary Chapel Tuesday, in Logan. He came to Cache Valley at an early age with his parents and had been a farmer in the Benson area throughout his life. A high priest in the Cache North Stake, he had served in both the Sunday School and the MIA organizations and also as a home teacher. He was a charter member of the Benson Lions Gub. On Sept. 20, 1916 he was married to Sarah Loila Reese in the Logan Temple. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters, Rex R. Funk, Lancaster, Calif., C. Dennis Funk. Smithfield; Mrs. Jay (Viva) Burrie, Malad, Idaho; and Mrs. Desmond (Loila) An- derson of Logan. A son Norman was killed in action in World War II. She was the wife of Christian Fred Blaser. She died at her home, 495 East Sixth North, of a heart ailment. She was born in Smithfield Sept. 8. 1919. a daughter of John and Maggie Mae Bingham Douglass. On July 21, 1941. she married Mr. Blaser in Preston; the marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Blaser was an active mcmlivr of the LDS Church, and was affiliated with the Logan ,18th Ward. Most of her life was spent in Logan. Surviving are her husband . of Logan; four children, Janet Mae Blaser. Logan; Christian Blaser. Maryland; Mrs. Ted A. (Madlyn) Pitcher, Ogden; Mrs. Larry D. (Marily) Janes.
