Telephone 700 M&l iTJassy Center 62 West MpiSM Hi -... erry Christmas ,- - s;M i This will le the hist issue of the Cache American prior to Christmas and therefore we want to extend to our host of patrons and readers, the seasons greetings, including a very Merry Christsmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Our refular Christmas Edition was published and circulated on Tuesday of this week. Already we have had many fine compliments for our efforts. This splendid issue was made possible through the whole hearted cooperation of the merchants who really believe we could do them a service by taking their messages to our readers. One merchant said he had placed no advertising on a certain article, except what was earned in our Christmas issue. As a direct result of this advertisement he sold four lovely ladies coats. There is only one shopping day before Santa Claus is supposed to come. In our issue today, you will find many suggestions for lovely Christmas presents for your friends whom you mfey wi.di to make happy. There is no time of the year when a remembrance from a friend is more acceptable than at Chri.-tmtime. It is the season when our thoughts turn to our friends with a desire in our hearts that they be enjoying health, happiness artd prosjwiity. If there is any little thing we can do to bring about these conditions, there is no one who would not do the thing if it is within their power. Officials of the Elks lodge in this city held their charity ball at the Elks home on Center street Wednesday night. Funds were secured through this source to provide many a home with presents for the kiddies. Committees of the Elks, 1xlge have accumulated a large amount of merchandise from the stores in the city for distribution in the Isigan and Cache stakes. This merchandise will be distributed through the Re lief Society Organizations in both stakes. While our attention is now directed upon Christmas and the things to make everyone happy, we must not oerlook that a long cold winter lies ahead. We are sure that the charitable organizations of the communities in Cache have a definite program of carrying on until spring. Inlhiduals with plenty should not overlook the fact that he is his brothers keeper in times of want. Much suffering can lie averted if we act in time. It would le a commendable thing if every' one in a position to do so. would become a self appointed Santa Claus, and continue the Christmas spirit giurg throughout the remainder of winter. If the columns of the Cache American can he used in any way to aid in giving assistance to persons or families in want, they will lie opened free of charge. All the memliers of the staff want to do their part along with other agencies of charity. This is an invitation to every' citizen within the county to tell us if wo can serve in any capacity. as Outgoing CacheCounty Commissionersproud'pf Six --Years itt: Qffice Record, MadeDuring-Pxis- t COLLEGE STUDENTS END.
