This was the situation that n Fisher and Dawn Thurston found themselves in July 8 as they attended Utah Girls State. The mens dorms were utilized because that was the only area to accommodate the 291 girls in attendance. During the week the girls were trained in governmental procedures which included elections for city, county, and state officials. ReNon was elected as one of the Commissioners from her city, and Dawn was a Representative to the State Legislature. The week was climaxed by an Inaugural reception. During the reception Dawn learned that she was the recipient of a scholarship to Utah State. Both girls were happy about their stay, but ReNon urged girls to prepare themselves because they would only get out of it what they put in. .- IVAN'S DRUG 11-1- Dependability 104 W. Center . - . .
