The most interesting and yet most frustrating match was between Alder of BY and Johnson of Payson. Johnson was repeatedly saved by the bell as 69-5- 5, 69-5- ton, 180. 5. A team might luck its way to a third place finish in the league and luck through district, but seldom if ever is a poor team crowned the state champs because of a few lucky breaks. When we look at the athletic program or situation at BY High, it is a little easier to see why this was such an outstanding feat.
