Show THE JOIITU MIE. 'Die Tunnel III 1,300 Feet Bis Quartzlte In Slghl. "Our mine is all right," said Foreman F. J. Wohputer, of the Consolidating Mining & Smelting Co., whose mine is in Gibbs' Can-3'on, Can-3'on, three miles north of Brigham. A force of fifteen men is employed working day and night shifts. This force has worked continuously for over a year. The tunnel is now in 1,200 feet. The miners have struck a 75-foot ledge of elate that dips down. In a very short time this will be at the backs of the sturdy workers, when it is expected they will encounter a large body of valuable quartzite, which lays against the slate. This is expected to be the best thing encountered by the tunnel. The prospect that will open up beyond the ledge of slate will be w a t c hd with in te res t. President II. C.
