Show V. ui t of Our City tndn. The City Council met Thursday. Prcpent, Mayor Jensen, Selectmen Rich, PeU, Madson and Ipsen. Several claims were granted; others were laid on the table. Councilman Andrew Kimball's resignation, he having moved to Salt Lake, was accepted. John Christensen was appointed and nubsccp.iPnt.Iy qualiiied. The Treasurer's report was presented pre-sented and accepted. City Attorney Jenson reported the cost of revising and printing the City ordinances. The Mayor was authorized to grant several parties deeds on certain cer-tain pieces of land; also to arrange for the proper lighting of the street lamps during the coming winter. It was moved and carried that A a gust Nichols, Jr. be required to give bonds of floUO to keep an orderly house, and that .til persons under 18 years of ace be excluded from, his billiard hall. The sum of $50 was appropriated appropriat-ed to be expended on streets and sidewalks of Mantua. Adjourned until Nov. 4th. |
