Show A WOOL PULING FIRM. Kemp and Ilillnian, of lirigham City, SI AVE M inn A VERY GOOD ST.1RT. They Will Handle 4.000 Pelts a Month Do 3 $30,000 Business a Year. Fred Ilillmau, of the wool pul- . ling firm of Kemp and Ilillman, Brigham City, informed a Bi'tiMsr: reporter, yesterday, that they have now fixed up the old tannery in good shape and are just getting down to business. The intensely cold weather is somewhat retarding retard-ing their work, however. But they have already stripped the valuable fleeces from 5,000 pelts. Mr. Ilillman says that when business livens up in the spring they expect to handle 1,000 pelts a week, or between 4,000 and 5,000 every month. Heretofore, most of their wool has been sold to Utah consumers, but if the home market does not show signs of becoming better they may ship east, where the demand is Arm and trade lucrative. This enterprise did $30,000 worth of business at Salt Lake last year vhere they were located. It will bring into our city considerable consider-able cash and trade that would otherwise pass our gates. Every home industry that will thus help business generally should receive every possible encouragement en-couragement from the people. |
