Show SNOWVILLE SNAPS- A Singular Accident Farmers Working Like Beavers Other Notes. Editoii Bugler: Everything begins to tell that "'summer is over and winter draweth near." The farmers feel pretty well satisfied with the harvesting of their labors. Threshing begins this week. We have but one thresher in the valley, bo we have to wait its pleasure and readiness to work, no matter how much the grain gets ready first. The settlement in the north looks well; the people are working like beavers to "redeem the desert, "and certainly deserve great credit for the wonderful improvements made in the hitherto ''trackless waste." The many friends of Mrs. Eliza Him! will greatly regret to learn of her illness. She is slowly on the improve and great hopes now are entertained of her recovery. The family also su fit-rod. the loss of an infant daughter quite recently. They have the sympathy of all. There has been ome little sickness, sick-ness, but al are in health at present. pres-ent. Fred Hurd recently met with a singular accident. His horse began to buck, etc., with him. He got the animal under control, when it darted under a shed, knocking him off. lie fell, striking the back of his head nn a rock, cutting a very ugly three-cornered wound in his bead. He is getting along all right, however. John Hurd is again seen in our town. The school starts next week. I expect to ohronlcle under the head of "Weddings" in my next. Bke.
