Show MEETING HOUSE DEDICATED sunday was a gala day tor for the members of the fourth ward and the labors of 0 a year were in the dedication ot of their remodeled meeting house seated on oil the stand were the bishopric stake slake presidency several of the high council two patriarchs apostle rudger clawson and pres seymour B young of the first counsel of seventy the auditorium was filled with members of the ward and visitors from other wards there being souls present and the spirit of the gathering was one of praise and thanksgiving for the completion of the house which has been a big task the day being fast day tile the usual business was attended to after which the financial report was presented by treas A W ensign which showed that had been subscribed of which was appropriated by the trustee in trust of the church all of this amount excepting a trifle over had been disbursed and every eiery debt on the house had been paid excepting one or two minor accounts which had not yet been le ie calved tile the building committees report was presented by C ellas elias jensen itemizing the amounts paid for material labor etc both reports were unanimously accepted by the meeting bishop wright then occupied a few moments in relating tile the events leading up to the commencement of re rc construction work and told how every man approached for a donation had willingly paid the same and the people of the ward had been united in the labor which was attested by the early completion of tile house free from debt apostle clawson was the next speaker and in happy words complimented the bishopric and members ot of the ward upon their achievement he still felt as though lie he and family were merr members ibers of the ath ward and whatever concerned that ward concerned him elder clawson commented upon the beautiful arrangement of the house the main auditorium the stand and choir arrangement the vestry the class rooms and prayer circle room upstairs and the p pleasant windi winding ng stairway leading up he thought that the ward was most fortunate in having such a commodious and beau ticul place in which to worship and at the same time referring to many large expensive churches throughout zion which were not nearly so comfortable for table and roomy the speaker pronounced his blessing upon the people for their faithfulness in fit erecting this house pres seymour B D young was tile the next nest speaker and he praised the building tor for its excellent ventilation stat ing that it if any felt a draft to j just list turn their faces toward it and let the fresh air strike them full in the face and no harm would be done elder young also referred to a number of costly houses in tile the church which were far inferior to the fourth ward house in every respect as places of worship he indorsed endorsed Indor sed the remarks of elder clawson and expressed his pleasure at the lovely building ani and the good spirit present pres oleen N stohl was the next sneaker sanitation and the origin of disease lie he was preceded with a short spirited talk by elder nels P andersen jr who has just recently returned from it a mission to norway the meeting house was packed
