For farms signed up, possible payments to be made in advance of procome to gram participation Of this amount, $83,442.94. been $60,825.26 had actually issued to operators signed up. THE CHAIRMAN pointed out that the spring signup started Feb. 1 and will continue through March 22. For 1963, the wheat stabilization program offers participating farmers diversion payments for shifting wheat acreage from production to a conserving use. In addition, if they do not exceed their wheat acreage allotments, they also qualify for special price support payments and for the regloans and ular purchase agreements. The payment, Nish explained, is a new feature of the 1963 wheat program. It will amount to 18 cents per bushel on the normal production, of the farms 1963 wheat acreage. It is in addition to the regular loan or purchase agreement, which will average $1.82 per bushel nationally. price-suppo- FOR SALE by Owner 3 bedFOR SALE Older home, room house on ft. lots. Nish, chairman, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation has ancounty committee, nounced. t - 1 Editor: Thanks for your excellent editorial of Feb. 28th on flying the flag. We appreciate your interest and cooperation in our projects, as will the many local drives and community efforts to which you give publicity and support. The Civic Improvement Club officers this year felt that our theme Preserving Our Heritage warranted an effort to make that theme really significant, in the community. Our project is to see that we become more flag conscious, by urging every home and business to Buy and Fly a Flag. In addition to her other distinctive features we would be proud to have Brigham City become known for community spirit, love of country and expressions of patriotism so important in these serious times. Flying the flag is such an expression. It is very satisfying too, for it creates and arouses in those who fly it, and those w'ho see it, the feelings its display denotes. We will appreciate your continued encouragement, and any further suggestions on ways to get the flags flying. Sincerely, Mrs. R. N. Price Club Civic Improvement Flag Chairman. ,J !' ! H , -- .
