Mr. and Mrs. Charles Steven-- , son and family have completely remodeled the Horace Barnard home and will be making their home in Deweyville. They formerly lived in Honeyville. The Neil Hess family is settled in their new home now. It was good to greet many by Alene Fryer Deweyville is again growing. The new home of the Hunter Barrus family is well under way and Toni and Jim Ririe are watching their new home growing each week. Nancy and Kraig Page are moving into the home formerly occupied by Vanna and Keith Page and have been busily former residents at the ward homecoming Saturday evening. Returning for the occasion were Dr. and Mrs. John Olsen and family from Logan, the Earl Saunders family from Nib-leMr. and Mrs. David Draper, Mrs. Val Bennett and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wheatley, Janet Whealey and her husband, Mrs. Gayle Sedge-wic- k and family, Mr. and Mrs. Curt Whiteford, Geniel Marble Wall, Mary Marble, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Curtis and children, Ina Beth Gardner Pett and family. PTA Bow-houi- s, It was also good to see Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ashby and speaker Lincoln PTA will hear school chief Parents of Lincoln school students will have the opportunity to meet Box Elder school district Superintendent Leonard F. Dalton on Thursday, Oct. 20, during a PTA meeting at the school beginning at 7 p.m. Dr. Dalton will speak to the assembled group on his philosophy of education and his plans to implement that in the local school district, particularly emphasizing the need for observable signs of learning and the use of positive reinforcement techniques. Parents will be able to question Dr. Dalton following his formal presentation. PTA President Karen Carr urges that all parents in the school area attend and meet the new superintendent. Skaggs donates freezer to scouts The Lake Bonneville Council of Boy Scouts of k America has benefited from the generosity of Skaggs corporation. walk-i- n The firm has donated a freezer to the council which will place it at Camp Keisel for use in the dining hall. A local firm, Fife Rock Products, has agreed to donate its time and labors to move and install the large unit, valued well in excess of $1,000 at the camp near Huntsville. Scout executive Dari Gleed was on hand at the local Skaggs store when the announcement was made public by store manager Rick OBrien. Gleed said the unit is expected to be installed by next spring. The freezer needed to be removed since the old store will be razed as the new store opens its doors Monday. 12-fo- ot 'Harvey' continues at Palace Playhouse The popular stage play, will continue its Brigham City run at the Palace , Playhouse this Friday and Saturday with curtain time each evening 8 p.m. The house will open to the public at 7:30 p.m. with the Palace located on the third floor ' of the First Security bank build- Harvey, ing. This is the second week for the play which will continue with performances on Oct. as well. invisiHarvey is a six-foble white rabbit whom nobody can see except Elwood P. Dowd. Elwood is the brother of Veta 28-2- 9 Louise Simmons: she along with her dughter, Myrtle Mae, live with Elwood. Veta and Myrtle get tired of Harvey and the way Elwood is always talking to him. Veta attempts to have him put into Chumneys Rest. but There is a big mix-up- , . the story turns out right. Mary Chase is the author of the comedy. . Playing the role of Elwood P. Dowd is Lynn Larsen and Veta Louise Simmons is portrayed by Maxine Blue. Michelle Olsen plays the daughter, Myrtle Mae. Doctors in the show are, Scott Underwood as Dr. Chumney and David Loveland as Dr. Sanderson, and the nurse is Brenda Tomlinson. Other members of the cast are Ben Ogles, Jolene Sato, Alesa Hobson, Frank Harrison and Roy Huntsman. The play is directed by Tammy Felt. Tammy is one of the board members for Palace and is a senior member. Tickets are $1 for general admission and $1.50 for reserved seats. She is a niece of Roger. Miss Mason comes from California. Congratulations go to Verna and Jess Earl who celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary last week.
