Less than 2 of the men and women 65 and over who comprise the Senior Citizen group are able to live in comfort and decency without some sort of outside financial assistance family, old age pension, or Social ! Security. The very fact that less than 2 of the total population is able to provide the same continuing living standard after retirement proves how difficult it is to own a home, and raise, clothe and feed a family and have much money left over for a retirement fund. Yet, this reduction in income for most Senior Citizens comes right at the time when he is most certainly entitled to lean back and enjoy life fully without a constant concern of money. It wa? with these thoughts in mind, and with the idea that a substantial reduction in the price of all prescriptions required by any Senior Citizen, might in some small way ease a portion of the problem, that prompted Skaggs Drug Centers to announce their Prescription Discount Plan, available only to women 62 and over and men 65 and over who could furnish documentary proof of their age. Briefly, the plan is this: A reduction of 15 from the already low atcaggs Drug Prescription price will be given automatically to all Senior Citizens who qualify. Proof of age is the only qualification, and this can be accomplished by a birth certificate, a letter from any department of the government from which aid is presently being received, the presentation of a Social Security check; or a life insurance policy. Each member of the plan will be issued a special Courtesy Card. When prescriptions are purchased at the same store each time, it will probably not even be necessary to present the card the pharmacist will soon know you, However, if you are traveling and need a prescription at any of the other Skaggs Drug Stores in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, Texas; New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, presentation of the card will automatically entitle you to your 15 dis count from the already low prescription price.
