Missionaries have some very interesting experiences, and my companion and 1 had one not too long ago. We loaned a lady a Book of Mormon, and the day after we left it with her her Vicar came to see her. When he saw the book he said it was filthy trash, and only fit for the fire, and he took the book and said that if we wanted it we would have to go see him! We went to see him, expecting of course, quite a lot of trouble, tout much to our surprise he was very nice, and after we had turned down the coffee he offered us we preached the gospel to him for about two hours. Although we couldnt agree on a lot of points we had a nice afternoon with him. We still dont know for sure what his idea was in taking the book, but we know that through our visit he knows more about the Mormons than he did before we went to see him. This is an interesting and an educational work, and in this town of 85.000 people the two of us are kept very busy tryJriff,to tell the people here about bui very important JTOsnjje.
