Bear River gals win over Royals After recording three substantial margins of victory, Bear River Highs girls basketball team held off Roy High last week to take their fourth win without a loss, 7 in Garland. Coach Farrel Williams was pleased with the win, of course, but he was also happy with his teams ability to play well in tight situations. Todd Williams, Kevin Nelson and Jerry Jensen of Box Elder and Max Croziw and Jeff Oyler of Bear River will join wrestlers from Sky View, Logan, Preston and Layton at the meet. The Jan. 14 meet is one of several in Utah during January with the Japanese team. Tickets for the event will be $3.50 for adults over 18 and $2.50 for students 11 to 18. Children under 11 will be admitted free with an adult. Tickets will be pre-sol- d by participating wrestlers, schools and local merchants beginning Jan. 2. Tickets are good for any of the 11 matches scheduled. All proceeds will go toward funding a Utah delegation to Japan this coming summer.
