Bandaged Finger My mother arroved sporting a bandaged finger and claimed she could not wash dishes or change diapers. Despite having to wash dishes for 11 people and changing the diapers of my daughter Becky and my sisters twins Karen and Michelle, it was a fun visit. Two events stand out most in my mind.. .The first is when Alice got punched in the stomach (by Billy) and screamed Youth dance Friday at community center Friday night the Mayors Youth Council will sponsor a dance at the community center. Time is 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Roadwork will be the group providing the music. There is no need to destroy something that belongs to all of us, according to Recreation director Jack Winn. We welcome visits by adult Brighamites also. The entrance fee will be $1.50 per person. Shower Given shower was given for Valery Mclntre on Monday afternoon by JoAnn Wallentine and Mary Allred. Friends and neighbors gathered at the Wallentine home to tie a quilt for Valery and a luncheon was served. Valery is the daughter of Edith and Woody Bachman. Valery and her husband just had a little daughter two weeks A several times at the top of her lunds I cant breath! I cant breath! The other was when I was showing off my culinary skills. ..my father was teasing me for how often I burned dinner when I lived at home. At about that time, a small grease fire started in my oven and almost destroyed my pizza dinner! (My father laughed so hard he couldnt stand up straight) my mother and sister loyally and lovingly claimed they loved burned pizza. The other two pies werent quite done when the fire broke out and I was afraid to light the oven again. It wouldnt have been so bad except that after dinner, the kids came out to the kitchen and said That was really good, what was it? I thought we were gonna have pizza? Had Fun Well.. .at least Billy and David had fun. The state of my sons room reflects the happy carefree abandon with which they played. They did clean the room once but I later discovered that their idea of cleaning is to push the toys and clothes under the bed (and those little stinkers even got a surprize for cleaning the room so well ) It really was a fun visit. They all were thrilled with the new additions to the clan (my sisters twins, Karen and Michelle Remo) and delighted with how much David and Becky had grown since they were her last in October. My sister Dorothy and I were really sorry to see them leave Monday morning... until we discovered a pair of eye glasses on the sink and 2 pair of Billys socks on the stairs. Thank goodness they discovered this on the canyon and were able to come back. y A visit from what we call the Lange Gang is always hectic, hilarious and too short. We were glad to see them again and look forward to visiting them this summer (At last my parents household is better suited to crowds!) The Richards had quite a ! affec-tionatl- ago. Get well wishes to Dora who has been in the Brigham City Community hospital for surgery. We all hope shell be on her feet again real Hobbs soon. Congratulations are in order several of Mantuas young men. In a weight lifting competition held March 24, Stewart Richards took first place in his weight. In Little League wrestling on March 29, Mike Richards took second place, Eric and Randy Rasmussen and Mike and Robert Valentine all took third place ribbons and the Ferry boys Ryan and Paul claimed for fourth place ribbons. Were proud of you all. This weeks water conservaIm sure your all already aware of. Showers take much less water than baths. When you must take a bath, consider, there are really two kinds of baths. ..the ones you jump in and out of quickly and the ones you soak and relax in. h Try filling the tub only full for those quick baths. For those relaxing baths, half full will do. Why not try putting just a little less water each time till you get used to it? When you do take that shower, how about timing yourself? See if you can shave off some of the time you spend with that water running. And how often do you turn that shower on long before your actually ready to get in just to let the temperature get right? How about you? Got any water conservation ideas? Even if you dont have any news, how about some water tips? Ill be waiting to hear from Have a nice you at tion tip is one one-fourt- 723-729- week. ti DEALERS OFFER YOU MORE FOR YOUR DISC BLADE$$$ DISK HARROW BLADES TUF-EDG- BLADES E FOR IH HARROWS TRUCKLOAD SAVINGS .and big on fashion styling, big in value!
