Show Three Scouts Receive Tenderfoot Pins Tues. scout party was held Tuesday evening at the Perry school building with several scouts and their parents attending. The party was under the di'A rection of Glen Wagstaff. leader, Arthur Wagstaff Newell H. Wight. Several interesting stake and games were played, after which a knot tybeing contest was conducted tween the parents and the boys. Tenderfoot scout pins were awarded to DeVerne Perry, Carl Nelson and Darrell Weeks, who in turn presented their mothers with miniature pins. (Mrs. Virga Wagstaff and Mrs. May Wagstaff served the group delicious refreshments to bring the evenings entertainment to a pleasant close. SCHENLEY Recently returning from a trip eastern states were Bishop and Mrs. J. Oleen Palmer of by Brigham City accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Quayle of Perry. They flew to Chicago, September 19, where they visited the city for two days and from there went to Detroit where both the Palmers and the Quayles accepted delivery on new cars. While in Michigan they spent a day visiting the Buick Flint factory in Flint. From Flint they journeyed to Niagara Falls, approaching it from Canada and crossing the river back into the United States. While in that area they visited Ontario, Canada and Lake Erie. Kirkland, They also visited the Ohio, and Nauvoo, 111., scenes of early history of the L. D. S. church, and Carthage, Illinois whero Joseph Smith was imprisoned.
