Mrs. Eugene Morris entertained in honor of the eleventh birthday anni-versary of her daughter, Helen, Sat-urday evening of last week. Music and games were the features. Prizes were awarded to Barbara Buchman and Boyd Nerdin. A two course luncheon was served. Mrs. Boyd Barnard and Mrs. Lyon Barnard were Salt Lake visitors on Tuesday. Mrs. Ernest Prigmore entertained the H. H. Club at her home on Main street Thursday afternoon of last week. Sewing was the feature. Mr. and Mrs. J. Mitchell were hon-or guests at a card party given by Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Rhodes, Wed-nesday evening of last week. Five hundred was played. Mrs. E. W. Konold received the honor for high score for the ladies and Mrs. Harry Black the consolation. E. W. Kon-old won the men's first prize and J. Mitchell the consolation. Rosary sermon and Benediction will take place at 7:30 p.m. The program rendered during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and Ben-ediction Easter Sunday was as fol-lows: Alle luya, alleluya, let the Holy Anthem Rise, sung by the choir. Vocal solo by Miss Jule Thompson, entitled "The Dawn was Purpling O'er the East." Mrs. Winarsky and Mrs. Sullivan gave the duet, "Ave Maria." Carl Fieldson rendered a violin solo, "Abenlied," by Schumann, ac-companied by Blanche Kenner. O Salutans Hostia was sung by William Can. Services were concluded by the choir singing "Holy God We Praise Thy Name." |
