Mugfur, Mr. Bud Colhurns and rt.il Win-sing-returned Monday exening from Texas where they have been the last eight months. They are visiting with Hud's mother, Mrs. Geo. West. Mr. and Mrs. Geo West have as their guest Mr. E. W. Bom of Lot Angeles, Calif. That every move of the President is said to be watched, but what about a commissioner. That even Lindbergh was dared into smoking a cigarette. That a gallon of whiskey might be kept in a home for medicinal purposes. That there are people who even cel-ebrate their defeat. That Wine and Women are alright sometimes, but its not very pleasant to wake up with that dark brown taste in one's mouth. That even a priest can talk too much on occasions. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jones left Thurs-day for Salt Lake City to spend two weeks with relatices and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Faddis and Mrs. Grant left Sunday for Fish Lake to spend a week. Mr. Wm. Grant who has spent the past two weeks in California returned home Sunday evening. ' The Ladies Aid and Missionary So-ciety of fhe Community Church met Friday afternoon at the church, l uncheon was served to twenty-fiv- e members. After the regular business meeting. Miss Lula Krepps, National Field secretary gave a very interesting talk on missionary work being al-ready done and also spoke on work that is still to be done. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hull announce the birth of a baby girl at their home in the Murano apartments. Siivnge, national of the Legion, has taken a speolul Interest In the work and has urged posts to undertake the activity at meana of service both to their communities and to the nation. A typical Legion landing field project was carried out by Longvlew Tost of Longvlew, Wash. The post ob-tained use of a tract of hind 8.000 feet long and 800 feet wide, and with co-operation of the chamber of commerce and the merchants made the tract Into an airport.
