MINERETTE CLUB The Minerettes have once in shown their abilitj to keep in step to drums and music. Last January 31, during the half time of the Bingham-Murra- y game, they put on their win-tertime drill which carried the theme of "Snowflake Interlude". This theme was carried out by having the girls carry cardboard snowflakes which were promin-ently displayed. During the drill the girls formed three semi-circle- s that moved in opposite di-rections and one large diamond which was criss-crosse- d both and lengthwise. There was a pause in the drill while the girls went into separate groups and danced to the tune of "Win-ter Wonderland". Featured in the drill were tiny Ann Nielson and Michael Cree-do- n who were both smartly dress ed in fluffy white ballerina dresses. This drill was prepared and presened by Copperfield Miner-ettes Norma Nevers, Valeta Ne- - Lovely refreshments were serv-ed. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Johnson, had is dinner guests Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Gordon R. Dorius and Chris T. Praggastis of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hurley. ' ' ' : local notes: Mrs. Irma Davis entertained last Thursday evening for mem-bers of her club. Mrs. Mary Zac-cari- a and Mrs. Rosella Rauer were invited guests. Prizes at bridge were awarded to Mrs. Barbara Sorenson, Mrs. Juanita Buckle and Mrs. Becky Jones. Tasty jefreshments were served. Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dispenza were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kresean. Pin- - oehle was enjoyed. Bingham LDS ward Relief Society work meeting will be held next Tuesday, February 14 at 10 a.m. It will consist of quilt-ing, rug making and painting. Linger Longer club members were gmsts Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. J. T. Davis of Midvale. Welcomed into the group as a new member was Mrs. Fern Faust of Midvale. The oc-casion also celebrated Mrs. Irvin Stillnuu's birthday. Mystery sis-ter gifts were also exchanged. Prizes at contract bridge were won by Mrs. Ross M. Cushing, Mrs. John Nilsson and Mrs. A. A. Berg. A Valentine theme was followed in table appointments. A larg. birthday cake centered the dining table. Dainty refresh-ments were served. Eagles auxiliary were enter-tained last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Norman T. of Copperton. Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. J. J. Doyle, Mrs. II. R. Gust and Mrs. Anast J. Chipian. Copperton LDS ward Relief Society will hold work day all day next Tuesday, February 14. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Olsen vis-ited Saturday at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Yancey, all of Pleasant Grove and Mr. and Mrs. Martin J. Kimber of Provo. Week end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peterson and family was Thomas Laube of Logan. A family surprise birthday party honoring J. W. Johnson on his birthday anniversary was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. t Eskcl Johnson last Thursday ev-ening. Cthers present were Mrs. J. W. Johnson, Mrs. Hanna Smith, Mrs. Jennie Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hurley, Mr. and Mrs. Homer McDonnell and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kenning and son Tommy of Salt Lake City.
