Show FOUR FUNERALS HELDMNDAY John Nyland John Nyland, 58, a Bingham sT? or i ycars- died in Salt Lake City hospital last Friday Fri-day morning of silicosis. A son of Hcnrik and Brita Nyland, he was born in Maksmo, Finland April 13 1881. He came to United S es His wife, Mrs. Edla Nyland, died before he emigrated . Surviving are a son, George Nyland, of Bingham Canyon, and two brothers and two sisters in inland and a brother in Oregon. The funeral services were conducted con-ducted by the Reverend Meredith Mere-dith Smith Sunday at 4:00 d m at the Swedish Lutheran church. Members of the Order of Rune-berg Rune-berg acted as pallbearers. Mrs. Meredith Smith sang two solos, "No Night There" and "God's Tomorrow", Miss Irene Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. Smith sang a duet, "The Unclouded Day". . Burial was in the Bingham cemetery. Edwin Harmon Davis Funeral services for Edwin Harmon Davis, 74, for many years a Utah Copper company employe, were held at 12:30 p. m. Sunday at the Bingham mortuary. mor-tuary. Earlier plans announced for services were revised on the arrival of Mr. Davis' daughter, Mrs. A. W. McLeod of Tenant, Cal. Mr. Davis died Tuesday in Salt Lake City. The Reverend Meredith Smith presided at the services. Members Mem-bers of the Woodmen of the World, a Salt Lake City lodge, read a ritual and conducted graveside services. Mrs. Meredith Mere-dith Smith sang "Face to Face" and with Mrs. E. G. Ball, sang two duets, "Some Sweet Day Bye and Bye" and "Sometime We'll Understand". Interment was in the Bingham cemetery. O. F." J". "Andres Friends and associates of O. F. J. "Sunny Jim" Andres, an engineer en-gineer for the Utah Copper company com-pany since 1914, gathered Sunday Sun-day at 2 p. m. at the Bingham mortuary to pay their final tribute. trib-ute. Canyon lodge No. 13, F. & A. M., conducted services and the Reverend Meredith Smith gave the Scripture reading. Musical numbers included two vocal solos, so-los, "The Day Without a Cloud" and "Someday He'll Make It Plain" by Mrs. Meredith Smith. Mr. Andres was a former member mem-ber of the Salt Lake City fire department. He died Thursday night of coronary occlusion. A daughter and a son, Genevieve and James Andres, both of Sail Lake City, survive him. Inter-' Inter-' ment was in Wasatch Lawn ee-1 ee-1 metery, Salt Lake City. Dell Kinny Clays Funeral rites for Dell Kinny Clays, 55, a Bingham paperhang-l paperhang-l er and painter for 20 years, were held Sunday at the Deseret mortuary mor-tuary in Salt Lake City. Mr. ' Clays died Thursday night in a 1 Salt Lake hotel following a heart attack. Services included music, Scripture Scrip-ture reading, a sermon and prayers pray-ers by members of the mortuary staff. Survivors are two brothers, Mark H. Clays of Reno, Nev., and Charles P. Clays of Bingham; Bing-ham; A half-brother, Mason Clays of Peru, Cal., and a sister, Mrs W. S. Jones of Bingham. Interment was in the Murray city cemetery. |
