Show FAMILY HONORS FATHER ON 80TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Jacques were hosts at a family dinner Sunday, honoring Mr. Jacques' father, Wesley Jacques of 328 South Main street, Salt Lake City, on his eightieth birthday. During the afternoon four generation gen-eration photographs were taken of Mr. Jacques, his son S. W. Jacques; his grandson, Spencer I Jacques; his great grandson, Roger Jacques. Also present at the dinner were daughters and sons of the honoree and their families: Miss Myrtle Jacques of Logan; Mrs. Mabel Athay and son, Jimmy, of Smithfield; Mr, and Mrs. Hoyd Jacques and daughter, Dixie, of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nel-I Nel-I son and children, Renee and Allen, Al-len, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and I Mrs. James Featherstone and children, Marvis, Dee and Keith, of Salt Lake City. Another son, Charles Jacques, and family, of Los Angeles, were unable to be present. Mrs.' Spencer Jacques, wife of a grandson, was present with her husband and small son. Mr. Jacques was born at Saginaw, Sagi-naw, Mich., April 11, 1863, the j son of John James and Mary Elizabeth Eli-zabeth Stevens Jacques. He came to Ogden in 1890 and on August 11, 1891 married Matilda Swen-son. Swen-son. She died in 1914. Mr. Jacques Jac-ques worked as a barber in Ogden Og-den and moved to Logan in 1900 , where he followed the same trade. He has made his home' in Salt Lake City the past 25 years. He worked 10 years each in the circulation departments of the Salt Lake Tribune and the Des-eret Des-eret News, retiring . five years; 'ago. He is a member of the LDS I church. |
