It means a day to spend with your relatives to give thanks to them for all the things they made possible, like freedom of speech to say that we dont like one person or another. They fought to give us the right to freedom of press so we can print what we want to print. They gave us the right to make our own rules and the right to own business, or some land. Everybody should honor their presidents on this day, but some people just call it another holiday. But I dont call it just another holiday. I call it a holiday to honor all presidents and great Americans alike not that I say everyone does, but they should! I will name some, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. These people plus many others fought and some even forfeit their lives to make America what it is today. Presidents Day means all that and more. It is a day to honor all great Americans. That is about all I can say, but this is what Presidents Day means to me. Star Spangled Banner that we sing and when we pledge Allegiance to our flag. I like to live in America because of its freedom and its liberty. We owe our thanks to our presidents. I think of President George Washington when he was the first President of the United States. We can celebrate about our presidents and what they did for us. I think of the statue of liberty and how it stands with a torch in its hand that stands for freedom. Bobby Eldard It means honoring presidents like Washington, Lincoln, etc. It means America. It means the flag. But most of all it means freedom: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, all of the freedoms we have. It makes me thankful to live in such a great country like America. I mean red, white and blue. It means stars and stripes. If I need to, I will fight for my freedom. Bret Johnson Presidents Day means to me freedom in America and the struggle put up for that freedom. It also reminds me of all the great things the Presidents did to make our country right on. We have the right to vote for a new president and the one we think is the best. Presidents also pass laws to make America a better place to live and they also make agreements with other countries to make USA, a better and stronger place. When America is in a big problem, the president is always there to help America.
