Hes looking for something beautiful and different and decides that he will try his hands at one affair something he can look back on with beautiful memories. Using his mothers apartment while shes doing volunteer work at Mt. Siani Hospital, Barney Cashman tries his luck with three completely different women. They could be described individually as one cold, callus woman, another as being some kind of a paranoic, potsmoking nut, and the last as an honest family friend. Caesar, a man of a thousand faces, turns Last of the Red Hot Lovers by Neil Simon into a delightful, hysterical performance. The many antics of Barney Cashman kept the audience laughing throughout the show. The actresses in the play are equally pleasing in the renditions of the women in his life. Each has their own character and pecularities. All in all, Last of the Red Hot Lovers is one of the funniest shows Ivq seen. The show continues through March 19. The communist party newspaper Pravda featured a lengthy editorial which denounced the dissidents as part of Western efforts to subvert detente and socialism. Although the stand was in direct response to U.S. rebukes of Soviet human rights violations, there was no direct mention of Carter. Referring to the dissidents, Pravda said, These outspoken enemies of socialism are just a handful of individuals who do not represent anyone or anything and they are far from the Soviet people. What is more, they exist only because they are supported, paid and praised by the West.
