Including parents and families there were 73 people in attendance. The party started at 6:30 p.m. with baseball and volley ball games. They enjoyed a very nice supper and then some films were shown by Cecil Willden. Those in charge of the party were Clair and Delia Rollins, Jim and Marlys Bohn and Howard and LaVern Bradshaw. Third Ward Trail-Builde- rs Party On August 13th, the Beaver Third Ward Trail Builders had a nice party with all of their parents. The leaders of this party were Betty McCann, Erma Kerksiek, Mona Lou Gentry, Mary Yardley, Joyce Joseph and LaVern Bradshaw. About 35 were in attendance and all had a nice time playing games and enjoying refreshments. Maria Spendlove has returned home after spending the summer at BYU attending summer school. She will return for the fall quarter. Calvin Yardley was taken to the Valley View Hospital at Cedar City Monday evening for an appendicitis operation. Calvin just returned from Camp Polk, Louisiana where he finished his six months training in the National Guard. Kent Swindlehurst, son of Mr and Mrs. Rue Swindlehurst, is going to Cedar City where he will be operated for a hernia Wednesday morning. A regional PTA Convention was held in Cedar City August 10th. While Hettie was in Salt Lake a Fireside was held for Mrs. Stanbury at the home of Elder Lambert who had been on a mission to England and all Mrs. Stanbury's English friends had the pleasure of seeing her. ed ........... Mr. and Mrs. Albert Muir are spending a week In Ogden visiting Mr. and Mrs. Albert Muir, Jr. Tonia's mother has been visit ing with them for some time and was returning to her home in Holland. Mr. f.nd Mrs. Allen Faux and Mrs. Rebecca Orton came to Beaver Saturday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cox. Mr. and Mrs. Faux returned to their home In Sunset Sunday. Mrs. Orton will remain with the Cox family. She is Esta's mother. Recently Lois White and Ann Cartwright had the pleasure of taking a trip through the cast to Quebec, Montreal and Ottowa In Canada. Also a cruise among the Thousand Islands in the St. Lowrence River, visiting the Falls and then on to see the Pageant at Hill Cumorah. They spent five days in New York City and at the World's Fair. Now that the Primary Election is over I want to tell you people of Beaver County that it has come to my attention that there has been a whispering campaign going around to the effect that I am not interested in going back to the" Legislature. It is definately my desire to go back and serve you people another term, and I intend to do everything in my power to win in the coming election in November. I want you to If I should be know now that if you have any definite viewpoints on matters coming before the Legislature I would appreciate very much hearing from you about them. Your Legislator is in Salt Lake City to serve you, and he can serve you best if you tell him how you feel. A fine program was given and a visit for the Beaver County people residing in that area. They also enjoyed a trip to the zoo and the pleasures at Lagoon. We are happy to learn that Mrs. Gilbert Briggs Is home from the hospital and feeling so much better. Their daughter. Mrs. Donna Newman brought her home. She and her four boys will stay for a short visit before returning to Salt Lake. Mrs. Revou Carter and son Kevin spent Saturday in Beaver visiting with Revou's mother, Mrs. Hazel Eyre. n, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Eyre and family of Nophi. Barbara and the family will remain for a two week vacation but Ron will visit for a few days and then take a plane back home to attend to his business.
