Miss Elinor Sims will surely make a live wire member of the Milford Commercial club. Miss Simms proposes pro-poses to make the Utah theatre a place worth while. She . advises 'that a new name is desired for this play house. A suitable prize of, value val-ue will be given to the person whose suggestion for a name for the Utah theatre is selected by competent judges. All suggestions must be placed in a sealed envelope and left at the box office of the theatre each evening up to and including Saturday Satur-day evening, March 8th. The winners win-ners name will be announced frorr the stage of the Utnh, theatre Sunday Sun-day evening March 9th. .. . The drop pit of the Milford shops looks like a war hospital. So many cripples standing around. Engines 3420 and 3412 are among those on the drop pit. Fireman Calloway went to Los Angeles to have his eyes treated. Fireman Jay Gould has been one of the lucky ones. He has held fireman fire-man Herman's run for the last three months. - Fireman Yither is playing tag with the Black Diamonds with Bish while Calloway is laying off. Fireman Herman has been laying off since the first of December on account ac-count of rheumatism and is now In Salt Lake undergoing treatment. Mr. Harry Baker, who has been day chef at the Salt Lake Route iunch room for the past two months, has resigned and will leave for Los Angeles Wednesday evening on No. 3. Mr. Baker tried every way possible pos-sible to serve the patrons of the lunch room to the best of his ability This is more than we can say for oth ers who have been associated with the lunch room. It is a pleasure to see some go. In this case we regret it. From all information obtainable at this time, it is agreed by all concerned con-cerned that an additional through passenger service will be installed between Salt Lake and Los Angeles at an early date. r Fireman Hillman made his first trip with Engineer Decker on 3 : Wednesday since having had the flu. Miss Elinor Sims, manager of the Utah theatre will leave for Salt Lake Thursday evening, where she will arrange for a new and up-to-date booking for the Utah theatre. The O. E. S. Mr. Harri ;' 'who is a member of the 91st division is expected home next month. Mrs. Reisner, who has been very seriously ill with pneumonia, Is reported re-ported improving. Mr. and Mrs. Roper who recently went to Santa Ana Cal. are thoroughly thorough-ly enjoying their visit. The change of climate seems to be benefitting both Mr. Roper's eyes and his general gen-eral health very much. S. Dorrlty Jr. accompanied by Dave Gershine, a deputy United States marshal of Idaho, came to Milford Monday to take Mr. Easton in charge on the criminal charge now hanging over him. Mark Waddoups of Bountlful ! Mrs. Lee T. Walker and Mrs. Afton j 'Reed 'of Delta father and sisters of j Mr. V. C. Waddoups came Monday j to attend the funeral of Mrs. Waddoups. Wad-doups. .Karl Levi and family moved here last week from Beaver and- are now .comfortably located In the Stoddnrd house across from the Mormon meeting meet-ing house. Mr. Levi Is associated in business with R. H. Pltchforth. A. H. Dahle has taken charge of the mines formerly managed by Mr. Easton. He went out to Nevada Tuesday morning and took the reins of government. It is a fine position land we congratulate Mr. Dahle. Funeral services were held Wednesday Wed-nesday at one o'clock for Margaret Logredes. Mrs. Logredes was the wife of Mosemi Logredes and was born in Old Mexico twenty-three years ago. She died of congestion of the lungs following an attack of influenza. in-fluenza. Corporal Myron Lewis of the 91st division haa been transferred from a New York hospital to Ft. Douglas, lie Is receiving treatment for a foot wound and will probably be able to return to Milford in a week or so. Corporal Lewis returned from France the first of the year. Mrs. Enxma Smith entertained a few friends at her home Monday 'evenlngr The evening was spent pleasantly playing games and dancing. danc-ing.
