Needless to say, we soon realized that we were not only a menace to our own health and well being, but to other skiiers on the slope. So we slipped out of the slats and walked down the hill. At first wed just walk down the steeper places, then put the skits back on, but after awhile we finally realized, the icy crust was just more than we could handle. So just tossed them over our shoulder and using a ski pole as a cane, made our way for the lodge, where we found hot beverages to warm the old body after the nearly three hour trip.
