Show Elyrora Tolley dies in r.lilford Hospital Pumpers Association. Survivors include : his wife Pearl,of Milford,3 daughters Mrs. Glen "Donna" Roberts, Taylorsville, Ut.jMrs. Ronald Ron-ald "Gayle" Gale, Midway, Ut.; Mrs. Kay Thornley, Sandy, Ut. 9 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters; sis-ters; SpencerTolley,Spring-dale, SpencerTolley,Spring-dale, Ut.; Frank Tolley and Ray Donald (Bill) Tolley.both of Nephi, Ut.; Merl Tolley. Moses Lake, Wash.; Mrs. C.R. "Phyllis" Price,Salt Lake City, Ut.; Mrs. Ken "Ruth" Zabriskie,Nephi,Ut. Funeral Services were held Wednesday October 14, 1981, attheMilfordLDSWard Chapel. Interment was at the Milford City Cemetary. Hyrum Tolley, age 74, died October 10, 1981 in the Milford Mil-ford Valley Hospital. He was born March 17, 1907 in Nephi, Ut, to Hyrum Warren and Betsy Rachel Whittaker Tolley. Tol-ley. Married Pearl Exum June 18, 1929 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mr. Tolley was a member of the LDS Church. He lived in Dillon, Montana for 17 years where he was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Volunteer Firemen. The Tolleys moved to Milford Mil-ford in 1943 where Hyrum was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as the Express Ex-press Agent. Hyrum served four terms on the Beaver County Commission. He was chairman of the Commission for his last two terms. He has served as chairman of the Five County Assoc. of Governments. He was a member of Soil Conservation Conserva-tion Service, a noted farmer; member and Past President of the Milford. Lions Club, Lions Eistrict Secretary Master ::n the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge, Noble Grand of the Odd Fellows. He was actively involved in the . Senior Citizens, both locally local-ly and in the five county area. Recognized by Governor Gov-ernor Rampton as an Outstanding Out-standing Senior Citizen. He has served as President of the Utah Horse RacingAssc. He was President of the Milford Hospital Board, and he worked untiring for the new hospital. He worked on the new Senior Citizens Building up until his death. In his early farming days he was very active in the Soil Conservation Service where he was among the first to conserve water by , using cement ditches, cement pipe, etc. Was nominated in 1963 by the Soil Conservation for his outstanding achievement achieve-ment in Water Conservation, He was chairman of the Democratic Party and was actively involved In County and State Politics. He was the President twice for the Milford Hons, and Cabinet Secretary for District 28. In his early days he was the organizer of the Miiford' |
