Show METHODIST LADIES TO HELP YOUTH WORK CENTER Plans for members of the United Methodist Women's Society So-ciety for Christian Service to donate food for the "Crossroads Urban Center" in Salt Lake were announced today by Mrs. Rosemary Davie, president. The Crossroads Urban Center Cen-ter is an inter-faith project to help meet the needs of Central City within the Salt Lake area. During the summer months about 20 youths and their adult sponsors will live at the cc" ter working at various co-munity co-munity projects. They ecah pay $25, and receive their room and board while working in community centers, playground areas, hospitals, with welfare agencies and in other projects. Members of the W.S.C.S. and others who wish to assist with the program may take food or cash to the home of Rev. Jim Sloan or to any member of the W.S.C.S.. Used sleeping bags will also be needed for youths who will attend one of the Youth Camps sponsored by cooperating co-operating Protestant churches at Pine Cliff Camp near Coalville. |
