Show OBITUARIES GEORGE M. GILLINS Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Tuesday afternoon for George Maston (Mac) Gillins, 62, who died Saturday after a long illness. The services, under direction of Robert Wright, were as follows: fol-lows: Prelude and postlude music, Edna Nichols. Invocation, Max Baxter. Vocal solo, "I Love You Truly," David Williams, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Janet Williams. Obituary, LaMar Grimshaw. Vocal duet, "My Faith in Three," Bonnie Easton arid Jo- -j sephine Killam, accompanied by Mrs. Beth Edwards. Remarks, Bishop E. C. Edwards. Ed-wards. The prayer at the mortuary, preceding the services, was offered of-fered by Clyde Tanner. The grave, in the Milford City Cemetery, was dedicated by Bishop Richard Leon Jones. Benediction, Robert L. Tom-sik. Tom-sik. Pallbearers were Clair Gillins, Gil-lins, Jule Gillins, Reed Gillins, Robert Griffiths, Isadore Gillins Gil-lins and LaMarr Morris. Mr. Gillins was born Sept. 5, 1901, in Minersville, a son of Henry and Isabelle Rollins Gillins. Gil-lins. He married Thelma May Morris July 7, 1926, in Milford. The marriage was later solemnized solemn-ized in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Gillins was a miner. Surviving are his widow; the following sons and daughters: daugh-ters: Mrs. Ray (Shirlene) Barnes; Kent Gillins and Miss Karen Gillins, all of Milford; Dale Lamar Gillins, Salt Lake; Mrs. Jim (Marlys) Bohn, Beaver; Bea-ver; seven grandchildren; the following brothers and sisters, Clair and Reed Gillins and Mrs. Nina Bingham, Milford; Jule Gillins, Minersville; Robert Gillins, Gil-lins, Magna; Isadore Gillins, Henderson, Garfield Co.; Mrs. Afton Rogers, Nevada; Mrs. Theone Moser, Rialto, Calif.; Mrs. Bessie Neilson, Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. Sylva Frazer, Utah! Burial was in the Milford City Cemetery. JOHN M. WILLIAMS John Moore Williams, 52, deputy Salt Lake county attorney attor-ney and legal advisor in flood control for Salt Lake County Commission, died of a heart ailment Sunday at his home. During World War II Mr. Williams served in Army Intelligence In-telligence in the Alaskan and Aleutian Chain areas. After completing his military service he returned to Alaska to work as a special advisor to the Army Engineers. In 1949 he returned to Salt Lake City to practice law. He was graduated from the University Uni-versity of California at Los Angeles. He was an agent for the FBI in Boston and San Francisco before entering service. In recent re-cent years he had been president presi-dent of the American Minerals Association. He was born Jan. 9, 1912, in Milford, to John and Ruth Moore Williams. He married Zola Fernley in July, 1939. Surviving are his widow, and his father, both of Salt Lake. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday in Salt Lake. Burial was in Salt Lake City Cemetery. |
