Show JAMES FORGIE DIES IN SALT LAKE John M. Forgie, 78, former Milford resident, died at 12:50 a m. Tuesday in a Salt Lako nursing home after a lingering linger-ing illness. IIo was born in Heber Aug. 3. 1884, a son of John and Gomcr Hildebrand Forgie. He married Annie L. Bourne April. 3, 1903, in Milford. The marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. Forgie died Oct. 8, 1948. He was a retired smelter worker and until his illness was Midvale building inspector. inspect-or. He was a former member of Tintic Stake Presidency, former superintendent of the Midvale First Ward Sunday School, and former president of the High Priests Quorum. Midvale Third Ward. He moved to Milford with his parents when he was about 18 years old, and lived here and at Frisco for several years. His father, John Forgie For-gie Sr., built the old Forgie Hotel which burned down, with Mr. Forgie in it, in 1910. It was later rebuilt by his son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hanks. Funeral services were scheduled sched-uled for 1 p. m. Friday in the Midvale Third Ward Chapel. |
