Show j Walter Cook Passes After Lengthy Illness I Funeral services were held Tues-I Tues-I day in the Milford LDS Church for i Walter W. Cook, 51, who died Saturday Sat-urday of a heart ailment. George C. Goodwin offered the prayer at the mortuary preceding the services, and the invocation was by McCoy Williams. Musical numbers were a duet by Lamar Lund and Gary Anderson, accompanied by Mrs. Marjorie Mecham; an organ solo by Mrs. Shirl Nichols, and a duet by Mrs. 1 Gladys Whittaker and Duard Nay, accompanied by Mrs. Nichols. J. C. Smith was the speaker. Mr. Cook was born August 20, i 1908, in Laramie, Wyo., to Walter William and Gertrude Fincham Cook. On June 3, 1936, he married Zoe Rollins in Beaver. She died . Oct. 1, 1944. He married Charlene Wilcox Thompson March 10, 1949. Hej came to Milford in 1914 with his parents, who were among the first homesteaders in the Milford Valley. He was a prominent stockman and rancher, and for several years had been state brand inspector. Surviving are his widow; the following children: Mrs. Alice Alley, Denver; Mrs. Ethel Wheeler, Wheel-er, Salt Lake; Douglas, Linda and Scotty Cook, Milford; a stepdaughter, stepdaugh-ter, Judy, Milford; two brothers and a sister: Mrs. Bertha Cottrell, Howard Cook and Jess Cook, Mii-j ford, and Mrs. Bessie Snyder, 1 Huntingdon Park, Calif.; and two granddaughters. Out of town relatives attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Alley and daughter, Aurora, : Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Loy Wheeler, , Salt Lake; Mrs. Bessie Snyder, Huntington Park, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Cottrell and children, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Turman i Rollins, Cedar City; Mrs. Forest Stuck and children, Magna; Mr. ' and Mrs. Jess Guymon, Parowan; , Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fox, Moorcroft, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hamilton, I Joe Sooby and daughten Karen, Al- buquerque, N.
