Show William Morris Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted at 2 p. m. Monday in the Milford L D S Chapel for William Morris, 79, who died at 5 a. m. Thursday at his home in Milford, of a heart attack. Mr. Morris was born in Beaver, Beav-er, May 28, 1878, to William and Mary Jane Speakman Morris. He married Lena Schwab of Beaver in the L D S Temple in Salt Lake, May 14, 1903. He operated the Newhouse Mercantile Co. store from 1920 to 1926, in the old mining town of Newhouse, furnishing supplies sup-plies for sheepmen who grazed their 'flocks in the Wah Wah and Pine Valley areas. He also operated op-erated the Morris & Sons Feed Store in Milford from 1918 to 1936. He was Milford city marshal from 1937 to 1945. He was an elder in the L D S Church. . Survivors, besides his widow, include six children: Wallace Morris, Claude Morris, Foster Morris and Mrs. Lola Tanner, Los Angeles; Mrs. Thelma Gil-lins Gil-lins and LaMar Morris,, Milford; six brothers and sisters: A. A. Morris, Blaine Morris, Mrs. Elizabeth Griffiths and Mrs. Ar-villa Ar-villa Swindlehurst, Beaver; Hilton Hil-ton Morris, Rexburg, Idaho, and Mrs. LaRue Bennett. Phoenix., Ariz. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. |
