Show John C. Evans Funeral services for - John Calvin Evans, 74, were held Monday afterpoon in the Paro-wan Paro-wan Third Ward L D S Chapel. Mr. Evans died Thursday of lasi week a'Acr a lengthy ill-' ill-' net:.:. He was born in Parowan May 29, 1884, a son of Thomas A. and Phebe Ann Pendleton Evans. Ev-ans. He attended the Parowan schools and had lived there most of his life, with the exception of several years spent in Beaver I Countv where he engaged in I Mining. He later took jap farming farm-ing until ill health forced his retirement. 1 He married Carrie Osborne at Beaver, Nov. 9, 1909. The mar. Hage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. He is survived by his widow, of Parowan; six sons and daughters, daugh-ters, Dell J. of North Creek, Shirl A. of Massena, N. Y.; Carl T., Summit; Lyle O., Parowan; Mrs. A. H. (Vadal) Terry, Enterprise, En-terprise, and Mrs. Woodrow (LaRue) Watson, Parowan; 1 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild; great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. , Idonna Matheson and Mrs. Ma-dora Ma-dora Rollins, Parowan, and Mrs. Ella Corbridge, Lyman, Wyo. |
