Show NEW LIVE STOCK BILLJS signed; Governor Bamberger signed H. B. j Xo. 120. by Fisher of Wasatch county, coun-ty, which provides for the creation of a state sanitary live stock board. Through signing this act all of the live stock departments in the state are consolidated and the board of sheep commissioners and the state veterinarian's office is abolished. All matters pertaining to live, stock will be handled by the sanitary live stock board. It is estimated by the administration admin-istration that if 14. 000 will be saved to the state through this consolidation. consolida-tion. ' The governor will appoint the members of the live stock board next week. It is said that Mr. Fisher will be named as one of the members of the board. The governor also signed S. B. No. 167, which abolishes the state horticultural horti-cultural commission and creates the state crop pest commission. The duties du-ties of the new commission are not only to look after the fruitgrowing in the state, but also to war on pests which infest crops. The governor will name the members of the commission com-mission during the month. The chief duty ot the new board is to Quarantine Quaran-tine against weevil and other pests. |
