Show SOCIAL and FRATERNAL I j MACCABEES WILL MEET A special review of Milford Tent .N'o. 11, the Maccabees, will be held at the I. O. 0. F. Hall, Friday, Mar. 16. at 8 p. m. Assessment No. 3 May be paid at the meeting. Refreshments Re-freshments will be served. V. O. X. O. CLUB The W. O. N. O. Club was entertained enter-tained by Mr. and Mrs. Street at their beautiful new home Wednesday Wednes-day evening. The usual pastime was enjoyed by all, after which refreshments were served. The honors of the evening went to Mrs. Adkins and Mr. Elmer. The invited guests were Mr. and Mrs. Woodbury, Mr. and Mrs. Miner, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. D. A. Baxter. BIRTHDAY PARTY Miss Kate Stoddard entertained at her home Tuesday evening on her thirteenth birthday. Dainty refreshments re-freshments were served. Those present were the Misses Aleene Miller, Nellie Ferguson, Irene Tanner, Merle Forgie, Merle Pitch-forth, Pitch-forth, Leprile Carter, Bernice Weston, Wes-ton, Wanda Johnson, Mercy Orvin, Doras Johnson, Lillian Tanner, Letha Schow, Vera Munford, Laurel Burns, Margaret Runswick, Burbar Fother-ingham. i I TEACHERS' EVENING i The faculties of both the high ! school and the grammar school met last Friday night at the former place. Many important things were discussed. dis-cussed. A social good time after the meeting had been planned by the committee, but as the rooms were very cold the principal invited the faculty to his home. A very pleasant evening was spent in games and popping corn. The hostess surprised the guests with a delicious lunch. A BUNDLE SHOWER One of the delightful affairs of the week was the Bundle Shower in honor of Mrs. A. R. Lewis. The time was enjoyed in sewing and a few games of 500. A lovely luncheon was served and the lucky ladies at cards were Mrs. Ward, Mrs. A. P. McKeon and Mrs. E. Barton. Those invited were Mrs. Markshef-fel, Markshef-fel, Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Kirk,, Mrs. P. Duffin, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Lee Duf-fln, Duf-fln, Mrs. J. M. Williams, Mrs. Nichols, Mrs. H. W. Williams, Mrs. J. Thies-sen, Thies-sen, Mrs. Street, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Fernley, Mrs. Tanner, Mrs. H. The hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Fred Jefferson, Mrs. J. M. Kinney and Mrs. W. Elmer. PRISC1LLA CLUB MEETS The Priscilla Club met with Mrs. Boyter Thursday, March 8 and spent the afternoon in the usual way, after af-ter which a lovely lunch was served. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Isaacs on Thursday afternoon, March 22nd. O. E. S. CLUB NOTES The ladies of the O. E. S. Club wero royally entertained Wednesday afternoon, the hostesses being Mrs. J. M. Williams and Mrs. P. J. Evans. The time was passed in playing 500, after which a delicious luncheon was served. The prizes were awarded to Mrs. Berkheimer and Miss Ruth Theis-sen. Theis-sen. The guest prize was won by Mrs. Caswell. Those present were Mesdarnes Adkins, Ad-kins, Sloan, Ingols, Berkheimer, Caswell, Cas-well, Nichols, Elmer, McKeon, Martin Mar-tin and Moore and the Misses Nina and Ruth Thlessen. |
