Eight teams were invited to the tournament. The Competition was tough, but the Tiger wrestlers gave it everything they had, and did a great job representing Milford. Brett Thomas, wrestling at 103 Ib. and Steven Florence, wrestling at 125 lb. both placed first. Brett Thomas remains undefeated with an 18-0 season record. Trent Thompson, wrestling at 130 Ib., Ben James wrestling at 135 Ib., and Josh Long wrestling at 160 lb. all placed 3rd. All of the wrestlers performed well, and had a good time. _ We would like to wish them good luck at their remaining meets. The team will travel to Enterprise for a tournament on January 10th. MHS will host a dual meet with Parowan on the 15th and : : with: Piute vaneon the 21st. Mark your calendar for January the _ Milford Invitational Tournament on the 24th. Roger D. Petersen Roger Petersen has been selected by the Beaver County School District to replace Nicholas Dotson as business administrator for the district. Dotson’s retirement becomes official at an open house/retirement party at the district office on January 8th. Petersen received his education at the University of Utah, beginning with a Bachelor degree in Geography and Math in 1987. For more Tiger sports see page 2. Sant New Year's Baby He worked as a budget specialist with State Office of Education for 5% years. In that capacity, he distributed funds to the schools and ATCs throughout the state. Petersen is commuting from Bountiful on a temporary...very temporary.....basis, spending the work week in Beaver and returning home on weekends. As soon as their home in Bountiful is sold, Petersen’s wife, Lori, and their five children, ages 8, 6, 4, 2, and a newborn, will be moving to the area. Sooner Retirement Open House Nicholas R. During the Centennial year, they traveled to throughout the state and had their “passports” stamped in every county. Petersen also likes to hike. His goal is to climb the highest mountain in each county. Peyton is also welcomed by older sister Morgan, grandparents Dennis and Bonnie Hardy and Carmen Dotson, and great-grandparents Jerry and Ida Beitz and Ruth Daly.
