However, Viewmont came right back thanks to a two-run triple from Kyle Bilbrey in the fifth to cut the American Fork lead to 10-9. The Cavemen kept adding to its lead. Murphy doubled to left and scored on a single from Mooney in the bottom of the sixth, but it turned out to not be enough. Mooney went '3-for-3 with 3 RBI. Murphy went 3-for-4 and scored four runs and Lewis went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. The loss ends American Fork's season at 15-10 overall. shot put 40-08 and took second.
