Fork. The speaker for the evening will be American Fork Councilman, Coun-cilman, William (Bill) Blora-quist. Blora-quist. It is important that all members mem-bers be in attendance as an election of new officers will be held. Mrs. Eve Edwards, president, presi-dent, welcomes names for nominations nom-inations of officers. All Republican Women are urged urg-ed to come to the meeting to support your own choice and elect the new officers. Greenwood to Sponsor Reflector Tape for Bicycles All students of the Greenwood Green-wood School are encouraged to bring their bicycles to the school on Friday, April 26, and at 10 a.m. Virgil Rieske of the Veterans Vet-erans of Worelgn Wars, will be present with reflector tape to put on the bikes. P.T.A. Safety Chairman, Mrs. Betty Johnson, disclosed that this is psrt of the safety program and the tape is donated free of charge by the 3 M Company. The program will be carried out by the V.F.W. with no charge to the children. Parents, please encourage your child to take advantage of this program. The child's life saved may be your own. Cooks To Observe 60th Wedding The children of Barnes A. and Alice Southam Cook, of Cedar Fort, Utah invite friends and relatives rel-atives to an open house in honor hon-or of their parents 60th wedding wed-ding anniversary, to be held Saturday Sat-urday April 27, at the Lehi Riding Club, on Fifth West 2nd North, in Lehi, from 6 to 9 p.m. They were married in Provo April 27, 1908 with the marriage mar-riage in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Tem-ple two months later. Mr. Cook was born Oct. 11, 1887 in Cedar Fort, a son of William and Rebacca Rodeback Cook. He is a well known far mer and former officer in the irrigation company, also serving as constable in the community for many years. He has held various positions in the church. Vrs. Cook was born July 20, 1889 in Vernal, a daughter of George Henry and Jane Hacking Southam. She adopted Cedar Fort as her home at a young age, following the death of her moth er and nuking her home with an Hirt. and her grandparents. Gift ed in public speaking and poetic writing, she has been much in de-mand de-mand to aid in community and church affairs in that capacityl She has also worked in the LDfc church since the age of 13. She directed the "Singing Mothers? chorus for 12 years and has done a great deal of genealogical work. They have lived in Cedar Fort their entire married life where they still remain well and very active and maintain a hospitable home which their large family membership and many friends always al-ways find a hearty welcome. Their children include; Sheldon B., Bernard G., Mrs. Ralph (Ma-ble) (Ma-ble) Smith, Mrs. Ralph (Reba) Kitchen of American Fork; Thay-rel Thay-rel V., Mrs. Bert (Edris) Kar-ren, Kar-ren, Vernal, Marion S. Kays-ville, Kays-ville, Mrs. Richard (Arvilla) Taylor, Salt Lake City, Rulon W., Lehi, Donald S., Portland, Oregon; Mrs. C e c 1 1 (Florence) Hanks, Draper, Mrs. Cloyde (Maxine) Harris, Cedar Fort. They also have 68 grandchildren and 43 living great grandchiHren. Mr. Cook is the sole remaining remain-ing member of his family. Mrs. Cook has five brothers and three sisters; George, Clair, Ralph, Grant and Niles Southam all of Vernal. Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth) Collier, Mrs. Victor (Merle) Wilkins, andMrs. Francis (Ethel) Morton also of Vernal.
