Show Another Old-Timer Passes On Mr. James (1, West, who was reported re-ported lu a critical condition of health lu last week's issue, died Friday Fri-day night, May 8, at the home of his niece, Mrs. James Taylor.' Funeral services wore held in tho First Ward chapel Monday, May 11, Hlshop James T. Gardner presiding. Appropriate remarks were made 'by Boveral speakers. He was baptized Into tho Church of Jesus Christ of I.atter-Day Saints n't Fast Dean, Hug-laud, Hug-laud, about March 1, 1SG5, by K. John Cook. Ho emigrated to New York, May 1, 18C8, and was there ordained a priest by Klder Searle. He camo to Suit Lake City, July 18, 1871, receiving receiv-ing his endowments in the Temple tho same year. He went on a mission to the Indian Territory Ter-ritory in 1880, laboring there about seven months, and through sickness ho was honorably released by President Presi-dent John Taylor to return homo.
