She replaces Sheila Woodard, who left that post in June. As research coordinator, Ms. Choate will research individuals, corporations, and foundations who are prepared and willing to make donations to educational institutions. She will also prepare proposals to be presented to those potential donors. Prior to her appointment in the development office, Ms. Choate served five years as graduation and transfer evaluator at WSC, where she was responsible for researching student records and developing training seminars. She has served as a trustee of the BountifulDavis Arts Board, where she worked to raise endowment funds and funds for support of that organization. She is vice chairman of the Clearfield Arts and Recreation Advisory Commission and a member of the Festival of Trees committee.
